I bet it will be powerhouses vs scrubs, I don't think we will see usc vs michigan and oregon vs osu or nebraska vs stanford

I think Stanford is going to slide back down the Pac12 totem pole starting next year.

But usually there is just room for one big out of conference game a year on the schedule.

Not really with the schools Notre Dame has its yearly ties with....off the top of my head USC the last few years (while Minnesota would be debated by some, the Trojans have essentially made an effort to schedule home and homes with big conference teams), Michigan plays Bama next season, so on

Purdue might be iffy, they do only schedule cupcakes but I'm not sure they'd give up playing football-big-brother. Dont know enough on Stanford to say one way or another though

The ND rival teams seem to treat it essentially as a necessary-to-be-scheduled conference game when planning out future schedules

Impacted more might be SEC and other conference schools trying to schedule home and homes with the big 10 or PAC 12

Possible to see it especially with talks towards the bigger programs in each of the two conferences

Well, there's always the Big East. We can extend the SEC/Big East challenge thing to football.

I can see the headlines now "Tennessee travels WEST to take on the Big EAST opponent San Diego State"
