Did anybody catch the news footage on that game? That was some wild stuff.I wonder how many lawsuits are going to surface on that one.

I watched it over and over on ESPN last night right after it happened. That's the craziest thing I have ever seen in my life. It's almost surreal.

The NBA consists of a bunch of thugs. Artest and ONeil should be kicked out if you ask me.

Perhaps we can something similar if we get to the SECCG. But we need to do it before the game so it would get postponed long enough to get one of our QB's back!

I was at Hooter's and I saw the whole thing. But there was so much chaos you couldn't keep up with it. It takes a real man to attack fans in the stands. The funny part was all of the fans throwing stuff at Indiana as they walked into the locker room.

You can bet there will be a lot of lawsuits following this one. I have to agree with you about how funny it was that all the Indiana folks had drinks thrown at them going into the locker room. It was a virtual barrage of drinks, and even someone's popcorn.

Who cares,What you saw there is about what you would expect from that league. The instigator if that whole malay, Ron Artest, was the same guy that asked a reporter what the word integrity meant. He said his daddy didn't know what it was either. He makes a great case ,for a great league. :finger: the whole NBA!

Find me a professional sports league where the players AREN'T spoiled. The NBA is full of thugs, the NFL is full of overpayed crybabies, MLB full of prima donnas...

Jeez. Realize that even in the NBA, athletes like this still make up a small portion of the league. While they are displayed much more because stuff like that draws ratings, the league is still a majority of alright guys.

Can't agree with that. Kobe Bryant fiasco. Jordan's gambling, Dennis Rodman's many escapades, Allen Iversons failure to "practice", Latrell Spreewell choking his coach, a league covered by Stephen A. Smith and Chas Barkley. I have refrained from using THE unaccepted adjective in todays world but , you figure the rest out. :flush: :flush: :flush: :flush: :flush: :flush: :flush: :flush: :flush:

. . . if you are going to jump in the gutter and imply a racial epithet, at least have the savvy to understand that it's a noun and not an adjective. :shakehead:

It was surreal and there is no excuse for the players heading into stands. However, the fans were out of control as well. The ones that went on the floor were asking for it. Watch they way they come at the players, I don't think the fans that went on the floor deserve a dime.

at least he will have time to produce his CD now..... that was the most pitiful display I 've seen since the spitting on the Ump, disgraceful then here comes Clemson and SC..... but you see bad sportmanship everywhere these days even in little league but most of it is in the stands coming from the parents.

I must be in the minority. When is some one going to blame Ben Wallace. Folks Why is it amusiing when fans through drinks on atheletes. those are not fans those are thugs as well, period. The NBA and The owners are more to blame than anybody fo allowing the "fans" to be able to get involved in the situatuion in the fiirst place.

It was a "fan" that threw the drink on Artest and hit him in the face. I for one if in a heated confortation with someone might just act the same way if and idiot had nothing to do with the incident got involved.

Ron Artest did Not Start this. A "FAN DID" .

So what should be the punishment of the "fan"?

One problem though... Artest attacked a guy that didn't even throw that thing. not only that, but since when is it HIS responsibility to take things into his own hands and attack someone? I thought that was what police and security were for.

What Ben Wallace did, while stupid, was something that happens every day in sports. Don't you remember the little push and shove and slap at the end of the Florida game that stopped the clock to help us go on a game winning drive? That stuff is penalized on the field of play, and should STAY on the field of play. Fans throwing things is stupid and wrong, but that's what cops and security are for... highly paid athletes ATTACKING fans in the stands is completely different.

If Artest has to miss an entire season's worth of pay checks, I'd say the fan at least deserves assault charges for hitting Artest with a thrown object.

Artest has to get a stiff punishment though because he committed the ultimate sin - going into the crowd. Yes - he was provoked, but you can't go into a crowd and just start wreaking havoc.

The scariest moment to me was when Artest was back down on the floor and turned around and had a Detroit fan right behind him. What the heck was that guy doing on the court????

True, fans on the court... they deserve it. My uncle thought that he may have been down there trying to get away from the brawl in the stands, but from my screen, it looked like there was PLENTY of room to run up the stairs, away from the chaos.

As stated on Sean Hannity's radio show, 46% of NBA players have their degree. So based on that, the background they come from and the numbers of them on the floor, do you actually expect a different type of result? If this game were at Boston Garden, the YMCA or in the projects the same result comes out. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken scheit. :spank:

Ugh, I can't stand Sean Hannity.

In this case, all parties involved were culpable for what happened in the Palace one week ago. The security, the players and the fans. And basing how the players act based on whether or not they have a degree is just nonsensical.
