We need to show Butch that he's welcome here and that we are happy to have him. There is far too much negative publicity going around, particularly involving negative fan reaction to Butch Jones.

Lets welcome Coach Jones to Tennessee the right way!

this isnt nd or alabama we want wins and if he doesnt do this with in the terms of his contract you dont think the fan base will be looking for his head. i will still be a fan of the team and drive the 12 hrs to a home game next yr but he better win.

I agree, there is alot of negativity, understandebly so, but we should welcome him in, he is now part of the family. The best that we can do is get behind him and support him and this team.....oh, and fire Cheek for apparently making this whole thing the clusterfest that it was. GBO!

Exactly. The man wanted the job. Lets welcome him and be MEN (and Women,of couse) and show the due respect that the man deserves.

Sure, it would be great to wi. But in the meantime, lets build a perception that has people wanting to come here and support us. Not one that is all doom and gloom and suggests that we are a lost cause.

I remember when my brother got married. She also became family. I didn't like her.

I am 100% behind CBJ, but people need to realize we will not win immediately. Honestly if we win 1 of the 6 games we are supposed to lose next season, I will be thrilled. If everyone expects a 8-10 win season next year, you will be disappointed. It is just how UT football is right now. But PLEASE stop taking the anger and negativity out on our new coach. He wants to be our coach and has done nothing to deserve it.

i respect a guy who coaches in a prof. sports arena. Its not easy i will be behind the team and the coaching staff. but we as a fan base do need to be positive and yes right know were not. but it will get better i hope and if not well he knows the outcome and he knows that the ut fans base wont except losing. he is a good coach but just not the big name we all wanted. we will see what he says in his press conference and what his actions bring to the table. i think we all can agree we just want a winning team and get back on track.
