I haven't read where Jones was coaching Palardy's efforts. I may have missed it in all the dust ups.
Talks with Butch may have boosted his confidence a lot. I didn't mean to undermine any of that. Was just curious who might have been working with him on his kicks. Confidence does have a lot to do with it and maybe he feels more at ease at this time.
If palardy was playing bad, it would be on Jones but since he is playing great, jones doesn't get the credit? Seems like a crappy job to have....
It is a crappy job some of the time. I'm not sure what your point is regarding what I posted. It seems that you've extrapolated something that doesn't exist in what I said.
I thought you were suggesting that jones may not be his actual coach therefore didn't deserve credit. Glad I'm wrong if that's not the case.
Every time that there is a coaching change on a team, one or more players will have much improved careers. When Kiffin came to U.T. Compton & Hardesy immediately got better.
When Pearl came to U.T., Dane Bradshaw immediately improved.
Now that bUTch is here, Palardy has greatly improved.
When Dooley arrived here ???????? improved.
???????=OFFENSE - in 3 years Dooley built one of the best in the country and one of the best in school history (recruited more or less entire highly touted O-line, Hunter, Patterson, and even Z Rogers was much improved during his senior year).
Encouraging to hear this from a member of the team after the way that we played last night. They all still believe in him, and really, IMO, there's no reason not to at this point. Still righting the ship, but definitely headed on the correct course. GBO.
Uh you might want to check and see how many of those guys were recruited by Kiffin.
I did check - that's why I said MORE OR LESS the entire offensive line. But you are obviously refusing the see the bigger point which was that Dooley was a really good offensive recruiter and coach - he also proved that by hiring much stronger offensive staff than what we unfortunately have now. Of course Dooley's downfall was that all the good he did on the offensive side was nullified by hiring Sunseri.
you are correct but none of that matters now.
I just hope he gets some consideration or something at the end of the year for some of the kicker/punter awards.
