Palardy=VFL player of the year

I remember hearing jokes about Palardy not being able to kick the chair out from underneath himself with a noose around his neck.

Palardy is now an NFL calibur punter and did a MUCH better job kicking field goals. I think he only missed 2 or 3 all season. And his leg helped us beat a top ranked South Carolina.

Kid had like 3 bad kicks out of 175. Seriously impressive year. Played a huge part in that USC win.

First time I ever heard that joke was back in the late 80s after UT kicker Greg Burke missed a chip shot to beat Auburn. The way the guy delivered the joke I thought Burke had actually tried to commit suicide. Took a second to realize he was only kidding.

Very true and very few will admit it.

Hate it when the players get bashed on here. I don't care how bad they're doing they're out there playing for TN support them.

Very deserving nominee. Michael finished with a 44.5 yard average on 63 punts. He dropped a mind-boggling 33 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line and who knows how many inside the 5? He also finished with at least 16 punts over fifty yards, including a season-long of 69 yards tonight. He was a weapon, in terms of flipping field position, of whom General Neyland would have been very proud.

He earned himself a punting job at the next level. Amazing turn around. Couldn't be more proud of him.

Perhaps the lone bright spot of the season. Good luck in the future to Mr. Palardy.

My God, we made so much fun of him last year, and before...the best player on the team, MVP and VFL! Palardy, you truly ARE a rock star!

Palardy kept us out of A LOT of bad situations that could've gotten worse. I agree, he is a VFL. Going to miss him!

I admit it. Now, how many that are saying good things about him in this thread will admit to bashing him at least once over the last 4 years?

If I remember correctly he got beaned in the head with a gatorade cup after missing it too.
