Who do we have who can replace Palardy?

I see Palardy as this team's MVP.

Very good question, and I agree about the MVP!

2 years ago, I couldn't imagine saying that!

really good player from fayetteville, Tennessee. Fayetteville is a town that is real close to the Alabama border.

We will be fine with Medley. "I got a song but it aint got no medley."

Bullock vs. Medley IMO.

The family that usually sits in front of me at games knows the Bullock family personally, and they seemed to think that George was all ready to go, all healed up, and just waiting for his chance to prove himself.

I don't think we'll know anything until these guys start kicking against some real pressure, though.

Bullock could be the punter next season with Medley handling field goals and kickoffs and Darr being a backup.

People are just writing off Derrick Brodus I see. Even though he's now been training for a year under Butch?

We already saw it happen before, seniority put Worley in charge at the beginning of the year.

Yeah, right. I thought he was sort of penciled in.
Supposed to be a heck of a kicker. One of the best in the nation. Am I wrong?:whistling:
GO VOLS!

Palardy was the number one kicker recruit in the nation when he came. It took a career and a butch to realize it though. He did great and am happy for him but my point is try not to rely too quickly on the new guys at a head case position like kicker

Palardy had a lot of injuries during his career. He was finally healthy this year.

As far as FR kickers, you see them a lot. UT In fact, Go back to the 90's and here's who UT had at kicker:

91-94- John Becksvoort
95-98- Jeff Hall
99-02- Alex Walls
03-06- James Wilhoit

After 06 our kicking has been shaky until this year, but you can see in a 16 year span UT had 4 kickers. Alex Walls took over during the '99 season but was pretty solid.

I seem to remember something from a year ago about the Wyoming punter transferring in? Anybody else remember that?

I thought Medley was from Lewisburg, TN (Marshall County), just up the road from Fayetteville. Close to the enemy line to the south none the less.

Brodus has been punting since 8th grade or longer when I played football with him

He was pretty good back then and I can only imagine he would be better now

So maybe him?

wasnt bullock like number 1 kicker in country when we got him? I know he broke his leg, or from what I heard would have shared kicking duty with palardy.

I agree with the MVP... between him and Neal's improvement in run game, are my biggest clues that tell me we have good coaches finally

He is from Lewisburg. His father works as a medic in Fayetteville though. His father would bring Aaron up to the ambulance service when he was a little chap. My my how things have changed. He is hitting 65 yard field goals and blasting it through the goal posts on kickoffs. I am biased being I know his father so well but I hope Aaron has a long and successful career. The boy bleeds orange and as good of a kicker as he is he is even better person. I think we can refer to him as "Medic Medley, saving volnation one kick at a time" :)

Fair point, but I feel that has more to do with teams generally not holding a plethora of stud kickers in reserve. I don't expect greatness from them immediately. I would be curious to look up our kicker's stats in 91, 95, 99, and 03 as a gage. However I'm too tired ATM.
