Haven't been to a night game at Neyland since I attended UT many many moons ago.

All recent games that we have been to have been either noon or 3:30.

For the 3:30 games, we usually arrive about 10:00-10:30am and have no issues finding parking downtown.

For the 7pm or 7:30pm games, when does parking start to become tough to come by? Would we still need to arrive late morning, or is there still lots of parking to choose from in the early afternoon, around 2pm-ish?

We usually park in one of the downtown parking garages. Walking 30 min to the stadium is not an issue.

Park at that State Street garage. You should have no problem finding a spot as long as you get there 4-5 hours before kickoff.

People are going to be tailgating almost all day, so it's hard to give a solid timeframe. If you were able to get into State St or Market Sq (I believe those are the two free ones) after 1-2pm for a night game, I'd be shocked.

Last year before getting reserved parking, it was very hard to find anything for SEC games. Ended up using Hilton hotel parking garage for Alabama game. Shuttle bus from Farragut seems to be very popular.
