Hi Volnation need some help. We normally stay at the Marriott and walk to the games but this weekend I am staying in Kodak. Can anyone give me an idea where to park. My mothers boyfriends first game so I want him to experience the Vol Walk and other game day activities.:hi:

Either park at Market Square garage for free and ride the trolley or park in the City/County deck across the street from Calhoun's. It's about halfway between the Marriott and the stadium.

How much is the deck across from Calhoun's? I usually park in Tyson Park for $10.

Park at the State street parking garage behind the regal riveria theater on gay street. It's free to park in on weekends. After that simply walk through down town and world's fair and cut into campus at the new Min Kao Engineering building. You can follow a street behind Dougherty and Perkins that will lead you right to the stadium. It is a bit of a walk, but if you know the streets up that way, getting out of Knoxville can be a breeze or at least much better than any of the paths into the strip will be. O and ya it is free so why not? This is where I parked on game days while at school and living off campus.

The walk from there to the stadium is fine, but the walk back is an uphill death march.

Thanks for all the replies. I will be carrying my four year old after the game so I will avoid the long walks.

If you've got a 4 year old, I can't recommend the trolley from Market Square enough. It cuts out 80% of the walking and drops you off right above the stadium.

GaVol where do you pick up the trolly back after the game? How often do they run? Also what time do they start running to the stadium in the morning?

I think it starts 2-2 /12 hrs before the game and starts picking up in the other direction at the beginning of the 4th quarter. You leave from the end of Market Square and it drops you off up the hill from the stadium basically at Cumberland and Phillip Fulmer Way.

I always park in the Children's Hospital parking garage behind Cookout. It's a $10 donation to the hospital, and it's for a good cause. And it's close to the interstate, so it doesn't take long to get out. I get there early and park close to the garage exit.

I'll never park anywhere else

"..carrying my four year old.." What? Time for the kid to suck it up and become a Volunteer. Fill up his backpack with bricks and make him run back to the car!!

After getting there early playing in the bounce houses, listening to me scream for 3 1/2 hours (yes I am one of those that stands up) and a six hour road trip the day before my little vol is plenty tired.

If I can't get a hold of a parking pass, I always park at the Methodist Church right off of Cumberland. It is $30, and you can get right onto the interstate in about 10 minutes even if you stay to the end of the ballgame. It is easily my favorite spot.

It's a walk, but we usually park around 17th street. I'd rather walk back a little more then to sit in traffic.
