So I'm looking at the boxscore for the Giants/Redskins game and noticed the number of passing yards for Manning and Campbell were different than the "team" total passing numbers.

Have they changed it to where yards lost after a sack are now subtracted from the passing yardage total, instead of being subtracted from the rushing total?

Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants - Box Score - September 13, 2009 - ESPN

I remember people suggesting this change be mae for several years, but I didn't know it had been implemented.

In college a sack counts against rushing yardage. In the NFL it counts against passing yardage.

I swear, I thought I saw some boxscore with David Carr where he had gotten sacked a bunch of times and they credited him with over -30 yards of rushing.

I'll have to look for that, but I thought it was ESPN, also.

Oh well...
