Prospects. Provide name, position, and where they played. Preferably give information about players from your high school or area. Also, a prerequisite is you need to have seen them play at least once. I just want a check on how good are our state prospects and if we are producing more, the same, or less recruits. That includes past, present, or future.

Best high school player I have ever seen was Mac Cambell. Running back from Alexandria hs in bama. Kid set the national TD record his junior year in High school. And he did not EVER play past halftime until the 3rd round of playoffs.

Btw, mine is Eddie Moore from South Pittsburg High. He was a man among boys. There two studs that year in 1A ball. Troy Fleming and Eddie. Trousdale played both and afterwards their fans and players thought both were great but Eddie was a slight bit better.

Tavion Banks from Bettendorf High School in Bettendorf, Iowa. He was amazing. I got to watch him face Tim Dwight in a state regional championship game and it had to be the most impressive battle ever. Those two were unreal.

Over the last few years here is Arkansas, I've seen Michael Dyer, Mitch Mustain (Mustang), Damien Williams, and Dareen McFadden play - surprised Mustain's career went nowhere.

I saw Patrick Turner. Thought he was a good athlete, but he was ranked the best prospect in the nation or maybe the second best prospect. I wasn't sure at the time that he was that good. He had the size though and he's played in the NFL for a few years now.

1. Steve Spurrier QB and shooting guard at Science Hill HS. I played against him for two whole minutes, he was a senior I was a freshman beach warmer. Great player, calm and always under contol it just seemed easy for him. Reminds me Johnny football at A&M
2. Michael Young Hampton High School QB and running back. I played with him. Went on to ETSU and his senior year ETSU went 10-0-1 and played the Terry Bradshaw lead LA Tech in the 1969 Grantland Rice Bowl. ETSU beat the undefeated LA Tech 34 -14 with Mike running all over the field that day.
3. Thane Gash flanker and DB ETSU incredible played in the NFL for many years and on SB team with the 49ers
4. Jason Witten Elizabthton, don't to say anything else

I played against Julies Jones (Dallas Cowboys) powell vally high in s. west virginia, in 98' jamboree, he was a beast. I was a freshmen starting defensive end never got close to hime his was so fast and the one time i did he ran me over and i tripped him for a tackle. Not bad for a 13 yaer old kid and i can always say i tackled a NFL running back. Then in 03' I saw amahad bradshaw (NY Giants) and his little brother form gram high school also in south west virginia, then saw MR. JASON WHITTEN Elizabethen high just across the border from my high school Virginia High in Bristol, VA. He played against my step brother who played for east high school Whitten was a man among boys

I went to Riverdale with Dennis Harrison in the early 70's He played college ball at Vandy and was drafted by the Eagles in 78 where he started at DE.
Watched Kelly Holcomb play quarterback at Lincoln County HS in the late 80's and 1990 when he led them to the state championship. He played college ball at MTSU and was signed as an udfa by Tampa Bay in 1995.

Favorites/best players from my high school (Henry County):

1. John Hudson OL- Went to Auburn, played 10 seasons in the NFL and won a super bowl with the 2000 Ravens.

2. Let the hating commence, but Marsalis Teague. 2 year starter at QB for Henry County. Both years had over 1,000 yards both rushing and passing. 2008 Mr Football winner, Gatorade player of the year, etc. etc. I don't think his UT career needs much mention on these boards.

3. Dominique Allen- Probably one of the biggest wastes of talent I've ever seen. Was a 4 year standout at Henry Co. as a RB/FB and was rated the 5th best FB in the nation coming out of high school (same year as Teague). Went to LSU where he lasted all of about a year before being dismissed from the team for disciplinary issues. Went to a small school close to home where he was again dismissed from the team.

4. Andrew Jelks OL- 3 year starter at Henry Co., was a key part of the 2011 state championship team, was a Mr. Football finalist, and is currently at Vandy.

Here are the best players I've seen who weren't from my high school:

1. Travis Stephens- Clarksville Northeast. Played against him my JR and SR years of high school in the mid 90's. Absolute stud, and I had the misfortune of playing linebacker both years.

2. Jalen Hurd- Current running back for Beech High School. The best high school running back I've ever seen Henry County go up against. Broke the state rushing record as a Junior, Mr. Football winner, it's been said over and over, but the kid is a beast and I hope UT can make up enough ground to get him.

The best high school football player I ever witnessed in person was Mike Cofer from Rule High School, in a state semi-final game they played against my school (Kingston) in 1980. Bigger, stronger, faster.......

I saw Teague play a first round playoff game. He was a beast. They pulled him by the third because it was over. If I'm not mistaken Florida was there at the game. They had a coach in a blue Florida jump suit standing where the media guys can stand.

One thing about Westmoreland, I think he was the best catcher that I have ever seen in my life. When we played him in baseball, he he and Macho had a head to head home run contest. He hit three and Macho hit two (Machos last hit went dead center but caromed of the top of the fence and back in play for a stand up double). Both went in the MLB draft but neither signed.

Knowshon Moreno, RB, Middletown South High School, Middletown, NJ

Growing up in NJ, this kid was a legend up there, he had over 6,000 career rushing yards, 128 career touchdowns. I remember one game he put up 420 yards and 7 touchdowns against one of the best teams in NJ
