Thoughts on his future as a head coach and on the direction of the Texas Tech program?

gonna always struggle to recruit in Lubbock. I could be dead wrong, but I just don't see him being able to motivate at all and he doesn't seem to be the teacher type like daddy.

I'll give him a couple of years and he's done. Hope I am wrong, though.

I certainly would love to see Pat be a success. However, what I've seen and what people whose opinions about the game I respect say make me skeptical.

Has he done anything to actually earn this job...or do you think it's simply Bob handing the program over?

In other words, is Texas Tech doing the right thing by not conducting a coaching search?

he didn't earn the job and probably wouldn't be the hire if they conducted a search.

However, Tech did the right thing when they agreed to make Pat head coach after BK left, as an inducement to BK on the front end.

I think that Pat will use Tech as a stepping stone for his next coaching job. He is certainly fortunate to be coaching at the level his is at now. In short, Pat Knight would not have dreamed of a Big 12 job with his resume, but his dad's coat tails are long. 902 has that effect on folks.

pat just did two of the worst postgame interviews I've ever heard.

he was very excited about his loss. He was just loving being the head coach. Hope this passes quick and he gets down to business or he will not have a job for very long...
