Kansas State Scoop:  K-State's Ron Prince began assemblying his staff:  former Tenn WRs coach Pat Washington, retained KSU DL coach Mo Latimore, E Central Okla. Univ. HC Tim McCarty to coach OL, Tim Tibesar to coach LBs.  Ruffin McNeill of Tex Tech still considering staff position, possibly as DC.

That was quick. I guess they haven't seen UT's receivers play much this year. lol.

Kansas State has a passing game?

Traditionally Kansas State quarterbacks complete just over 50% of their passes.

Washington will be considered a genius!

Come 'on. His coaching shortcomings aside, he was a VOL and we should wish him the best.

The Gallion/Alabama conspiracy crowd thinks PW will spill the beans on UT's involvement in offering money for Albert Means

Just when you thought it was over...

Well. There goes KState's passing game.

Aww come on Milo . . . just give him some of the top ten ranked high school WR prospects in the nation (Meachem, Swain, Smith) and in a couple of years, he'll have them running the wrong routes, dropping passes, missing blocks downfield, not running after the catch, and generally just being mediocre . . .

Have to quote another poster: Did they watch our passing game this season?

Actually he was an Auburn Tiger QB. He did develop some fine WR's early on..... Stallworth, Washington, Eric Parker And more. Give him some kudos. A change in serenity will be good for him.

He didn't develop Eric Parker or Cedric Wilson -- that's one of the obvious beefs against him. Wilson has remarked publicly how bad of a coach PW was. Parker has become good since being in the pros, but was not terribly productive as a college player. Ditto for David Martin.

Washington was what he was -- a great athlete. Stallworth only had about 6 great game as a VOL. Other than, he had an averahe career.

Pro Scouts have said off the record -- and on the record anonymously -- that TN's receivers are not prepared to play pro football because of a) bad routes in the TN offense and B) lack of coaching on how the play the position.

Good for Pat Washington, I know his family, I think he should have be fired even though I wish he didn't so its good to see he got a job fast.

Think Pat was losing focus at TN and it poured over to the receiver play. Life changes tend to refocus folks. Think he will probably do ok at Kansas State.
