So sad to see this great woman deteriorate. My mother died from the effects of Alzheimer's Dz at the age of 83. It progressed rapidly and the end came only 2 years after initial diagnosis. Some folks linger for up to 15 years before the end comes. Tyler will have alot to deal with while trying to live his own life and feel guilty about not being near enough to Pat to help her day to day. When things get really hard and the patient is having hallucinations, you have to tell yourself that this is not the same person in this body that I used to know. Best wishes and prayers to Pat and her family.
