I was looking for something fun to do in the path of totality next year (April 8). Women's Final 4 is in Cleveland April 5 & 7. It's probably too much to hope for the Lady Vols to make it to the finals.

I’m just going to visit a friend in Erie, PA and take the kids. They were 4 and 1 when the last one came in 2017, so I’m just gonna plan on making it a trip and going to Niagra, and if we’re lucky maybe a Final Four. But I’m not planning on the latter…

This team will be in the Final 4. This will be the best team since 2008. Not had a back court like this team in years. with Tamari Key and Jillian Hollingshead under the basket will be hard to beat. with Rickea Jackson and a lot of help from others like Sara Puckett and Tess Darby and I could go on. I am going to check through work and see if I can get something with my benefits that would give me a deal. I literally saw some that were in that 3000 to 6000 per night. My little 800-6000 above was for 4-5 nights.

the first several final fours had a lottery process for being selected to receive tickets. I attended six including the one in Knoxville between 1990-2001 (wow a long time ago) three wins - but even with airline tickets probably less than one trip.

and as an aside - the fans for all teams were intense during the game but generally friendly in greeting and breaking bread. (before the world of social media)

check on craigs list for rooms for rent,,,they will often rent a room in a house for signifucantly less than what a hotel room will cost you

Rickea will always dominate but I do think she needs to be more vocal with teammates, I think she needs to demand the ball especially when the teams struggling. If she does those things while refusing to lose and inspiring teammates we can be in a final four.

Disagree. I love RJ's on court demeanor just as is - uber focused, locked in, yet cool, collected and under control at all times. The announcers commented on it several times. This is how she plays best.

As far as demanding the ball, she cuts, she posts, she seals, she raises her arm to indicate she's open, that's enough. The rest is the coaches' job. And she does encourage teammates, she was really talking to Angel esp after those 4 missed fts, but she's never going to be an in-their-face cheerleader/detractor like Angel. Nor should she.

RJ still has to walk a bit of a fine line w teammates; bc she is, ahem, vocal off the court (or as she would say, extra, but cute!), she has to be careful not to overdo. She's already going to get a huge share of the attention, justifiably. She can be a hell of a leader by example.

She has several smaller product promotion deals. She has an elite AAU team bearing her name and wearing her gear. Has a website selling her branded gear. Does every meet n greet event the Booster Club throws her way. Loves the occasional Tik Tok dance video. Meanwhile, she's apparently taken her body and her game to an even higher level. What happened w Angel is a confluence of circumstance that is not likely to happen again. Angel's very questionable behavior triggered an event that got her swept up in racial and gender politics that ironically, turned her into a martyr for a cultural cause. I'll bet 2/3 of her "followers" have never seen a women's bball game nor do they ever intend to. Angel became a cultural statement.

I don't think any other players should count on national tv racialized confrontation, with a side of First Lady gaffe thrown in, to gain "popularity". LOL at least I hope not!

As far as Rickea, I get the sense that her Mom is a very smart cookie who keeps a very tight rein. She'll get it right.
