5'11" 175 PG from Oregon we are going after. Originally signed a LOI with Pepperdine but was released after their coach left. He's rated as a 3-star by rivals and he is penetrating and pass-first PG. Other schools that are going after him include Wash. St. and SMU from the article. We need a true PG badly. Thoughts?

i dont think we would take him. too many good players we have a chance with to use a schollie on him.

He's in the same boat as Brad Tinsley, just not as hyped. He'd be a good land if we can't get Tinsley (which I'm 99% sure we wont) or Verdell Jones.

Rivals lists Tinsley as a PG and scout lists him as a 2. He's a combo guard, not a pure point but has the skills to play the position and possibly develop into a pure point guard in the long run.

Offer in this order (i don't really have a clue)

Hopson.
Tinsley.
Cheeks.
McCoy.
Page.
Edmonson.

I really don't know, I'm sure I left plenty out.

Cheek is a Junior this year, Bruce may want to keep one scholarship for next year because only Childress's eligibility will be up. Tyler Smith will likely leave next season which would give us two, but there are some potentially high prospects that we have a shot with in 2009.

i definitely think bruce should save the schollie for someone better rather than just give it to a mid-level pg.
