Paul Menard leaving DEI

Paul Menard is leaving Dale Earnhardt Inc for Yates Racing. This move is more bad news for DEI, as they are losing both Driver and Sponsor. It is rumored that the US Army is going to Stewart-Haas Racing, the sponsor of the #8 car.

The sponsor for Menard is Menards, his uncle's merchandising chain. Menard is winless in his second season of Cup.

Good move for Yates.

With Menard bringing daddy's money Yates' will be smart enough to use that money for much needed testing,equipment,R&D, etc. As for Paul, if not for his dad's money he'd be wiping taples at McDonald's somewhere.

Exactly. Menard just circles a track every week. With his dad's money,Menard can buy his way into any team he wants. Yates is not the powerhouse team they once were,especially after DJ and Elliott Sadler left. Kvapil has shown a lot of promise but Gilliland cannot go a race without causing a wreck or wrecks.
