Paul Tagliabue is leaving the NFL, Roger Goodell, the NFL's chief operating officer, and Atlanta general manager Rich McKay are the two leading candidates to succeed Tagliabue. Baltimore Ravens president Dick Cass also is considered to have an outside chance and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice has said she would like the job whats everyones thought on this im gonna miss him personally he has made the NFL a great league

he has made the nfl the biggest spectacle on earth. he brought in the salary cap which has made parody the thing to success it seems. any year any given team can win the super bowl. this is not the case in the other major sports and has made the nfl #1 by a mile. i will hate to see him go and if the next commish is half as good we will be lucky.

I want his special advisory role!

As long as the NFL does not hire a clown like Selig, every thing will be fine.

There's the real question. Who do they hire next, and can he run the show without making a spectacle of himself?

Tags had a manner about him that reminded me of the Fed's Greenspan.

I love the Greenspan reference. Deep down you know either were probably down right evil when it came to manner of business.

Cross your fingers and hope the NFL does not do something too stupid!

What I would consider stupid is hiring or even considering anyone associated with the Falcons. Come on! The same administrator that allowed a $10 mil/yr contract go to Vick. We don't want them brains in the head office. Culpepper now thinks he's a $10 mil QB.

BIG shoes to fill for whomever comes in. but the NFL is in good shape, they just need some one to keep it on course. all the biggies that needed to be done got done under Paul's tenure.

some talk that one of the Rooneys could be a possible candidate as well.....
