Is this guy really the #1 QB on the 2016 Draft Boards?

I'm watching him play against Auburn and I'm not impressed. I'm actually wondering if this is the right guy...I had to double check.

Thoughts?

I'm convinced he's not as good as advertised. I'd be willing to bet he doesn't go as #1 QB.

This game alone wont cost him the #1 QB pick. It will all come down to the combine and pro days. Like the bammer said, this isn't a very good year for QBs

That's true - he'll have opportunities at the combine. He may also be mentally checked out of this game.

Goff is so much better but Lynch reminds people of Roethlisberger, so people in the media think he'll go high. I think Goff is first QB.

Looked great at times this year.. He has the size, moves pretty well, has a cannon for a arm.. Has all that. Bunch of those have came and went in the League though.. Right coach and the right team, he could do well.

Lynch is a little overrated.

I think most of that is due to the QB draft class being so bad this year. If Cleveland skips in a QB with their first pick, we may not see a QB taken until very, very late in the first. If Dobbs would have come out this year, he would have been the first overall pick........

I disagree. Great size, moves very well, great arm, can make every throw. He was fantastic vs a very good Ole Miss defense earlier this year. Completed around 65% of his passes to a bunch of walkon WRs at Memphis Stste the last 2 years, for nearly 7,000 yards, 50 tds and 13 ints. He's legit IMO, has all the measurables. We'll see if he can adjust mentally and emotionally to the NFL game, but I think he's shown he deserves to be the #1 QB prospect. He was the best player on the field in all 3-4 games I saw him play this year.

Lynch has the physical tools but needs a lot of work before he is a starter in the NFL. Footwork is sloppy and he will need help in learning to read defenses.

QB's always get over drafted though so he will go first round unless he completely blows it at the combine.

Has great size, great accuracy, moves very well, can make all the throws and has been extremely productive throwing to a bunch of no name walkon WRs. You're right about some things he'll need help with, but that's true of just about every QB coming out of college. It'll be interesting to see if/how quickly he picks things up and how long it takes him to make his first start. He's a very good QB prospect IMO.

I agree.

I think he has all the tools, I just don't see him in the ball park of a Winston, Mariotta, or Luck of being a day 1 starter.

I put him more in line with Bortles that took a year to get his legs under him so to speak in the pro game.

What will really hurt him is if a team like Cleveland takes him or if he slips and St Louis grabs him. Those franchises are horrible at developing QB's.

He is a good QB, no doubt. He put up good numbers but it was against pretty weak competition for the most part. He has all the physical tools. He reminds me of a more mobile Joe Flacco. I think he will be an NFL starter one day. I just think guys like Kessler and Goff are better.

Agree. All reasonable/accurate takes IMO. He's an excellent prospect, be difficult to say he's elite and Day 1 starter like Mariota and Winston although if he's taken as the top QB he'll likely do just that.

I could be wrong, but Goff looks like Blane Gabbert Part 2 to me. Again, could be wrong, jmo.

I could be wrong about Lynch. Who knows? It will be interesting to see how he does in the NFL. Like you said though, he has all the tools.

Part of the fun. Sometimes the sure fire guys crash and burn (Leaf) and the longshot guys become HOFers (Brady).
