Pearl backer giving Martin credit

I've been very critical of Martin but I'll give him this, his job has been on the line and he has the boys playing better than they ever have. It's not just winning, it's winning and crushing people! I want Pearl but if the man earns his job he earns it. If they keep playing like this we are as dangerous as anybody on a neutral court!

This is precisely why many on here were saying "let the season play itself out" before everyone starts clamoring for a new coach.

It's hard not believe Cuonzo will flame out sooner rather than later.
Past is prologue, as they say.
Personally, I'd prefer the Dynamic Duo of Butch and Bruce at UT.
When it comes to charisma, Cuonzo can't hold up his end.

The sun is shinin bright here, I'll grant ya but ccm has shown a perpencency to make late season runs. And this is by far the best team he has had. If we crap the bed with this one, then let's bring the jury out on ccm.

Even a broken clock is correct twice a day!!!!!!

Remember he is capable of winning some big games, but he also loses to Austin Peay, College of Charleston & I can't recall MANY close games that we were able to win.

Most close games go to our opponent. Even if we win 1/2 of the close games we will be in much better shape.

Texas A&M twice this year

I'm not a Martin supporter in the least bit, but these last three games have been impressive (even if the competition wasn't that great).

Same story, different year. You hate the guy until the final stretch, then you see a flash of greatness. If there's one thing we've learned about the tourney selection committee, it's that they're not shortsighted...they hold you responsible for your early season performance just as much as late season

Hopefully the phrase timing is everything comes into play for us this year.

You are correct.We lost close games to A & M twice this season. Lost a close one to Vandy and a close one to Xavier.

We should be glad that we won these past four because we have lost to lesser talented teams in the past.

Martin always gets his team hot at the end of the season.
Finishing strong is good. I would rather finish good than to start good then flame out.
