I've been reading posts on here for quite sometime but never bothered to register. I registered today just so I could ask the question I'm sure many are wondering. Why the heck was Steven Pearl playing at Temple with 3 minutes in the half while we are losing. I don't care who is in foul trouble, he just plain sucks. Why not put Childress in? Bruce stopped playing him after they had a conflict at practice last year. He's no Tyler Smith but he beats the heck out of Pearl Jr. I love Bruce to death but come on man. I don't have a problem with giving him some PT but not in a close game. He's a turnover machine.

Yeah I could have worded that better. I meant that in similar situations in the past Bruce has played Steven over Childress. Since about 1/3 of the way into the season last year he stopped playing him. Childress yelled at Bruce at a practice and hasn't hardly seen a lick of PT since then

Pearl was in at the 4 for awhile. Only big in was Brian at one point and Renaldo was in at the 3.

Negedu got very little PT today. Was he awful in practice?

The only thing that I can come up with is that it must be part of the parenting agreement in his divorce papers.

this is the only thing that i would ever question about Pearl. seriously his son is awful. he couldn't start for a mid major D1, i think he could play at a mid major as a back up. but he def can't cut it playing big time.

I'd like for someone to give me one reason why Steven Pearl is better than Quinn Cannington or Justin Jackson.

Other than he's 6 inches taller than Jackson and has about 60 pounds of muscle on Cannington?

Still, he is pure awful- there are about 20 guys at any given time at the TRECS who would be a better option than Steven Pearl. He's a turnover machine and has no prospect. Why does it seem that he is also one of the emotional leaders of the team? He is always the center of any huddle and he always air-bumps? every player when they come onto the court before the game and in the starting lineups. And I've heard he's a complete prick.:pukeb:

I just don't get it.
