This honorary title made Pearl think of his own arch-villain days as the coach of Southern Indiana, where he had "the audacity" to think he could beat Kentucky Wesleyan. "The first thing I'm going to do is let the people in Evansville (Ind.) know I'm a Kentucky Colonel," he said with an impish smile. "Then they can let the people in Owensboro know."

I went up to Maysville last winter to get my Lofton jersey. I would give anything right now to see video of that gym decked out in orange for Pearl.

Anytime that I read anything concerning Coach Pearl, it just gets me fired up for basketball season. Even though it'll be hard to duplicate last year's success, it's also hard to not be a believer in Coach Pearl. :bow2:

Seriously though, Eddie Munster is a great coach. Looking forward to roundball season this year!
