Pearl: patience wearing thin?

This article raises an interesting coaching dilemma. Pearl obviously knew what he had with this team but he couldn't really say it publicly. On the other hand, talking publicly about how good this team could be or winning the SEC raises expectations that he likely knew would be tough to meet.

It kind of gets me down a bit reading that he went off on them after the Auburn game, because that obviously had little effect on them. So it does sound like Pearl doesn't know what to do with these guys and sounds like he's trying about everything.

That article also makes it sound like our entire team sufferes from ADD or something, they way they said he kept repeating "focus".

Keep in mind I'm not a huge Vol basketball fan (mainly a football fan), but the only reason Pearl is being held to these expectations is because he brought the program up to the level you all hold it to. Before Pearl, Vols basketball was a joke. I think he has done a great job in his tenure, and without a solid outside presence (lost Lofton and J. Smith) this year, its tough to win.

Lofton is in the house.I think I fell a lot better about the out come of this game.Why-karma!

I miss Chris Lofton. Just from the heart and attitude he had. Wish he was still around the university in some capacity.

Vols have to feel good about still being in it....
Tyler has yet to score -- Meeks only has four.
Vols shooting .281 Wildcats .520....Vols lead on boards, 17-16

Pearl needs to recruit some smarter players and some shooters---these guys are a bunch of soft players who can't score from the outside.
