LOL. Charlotte was even without their best player. WTF. We're now an average, unranked SEC team no better than Auburn.

--Maymon provided some energy and did a good job defensively.

--Could not get the ball inside against the zone. The perimeter guys did not do a good job of getting them the ball. JP was a guy who had the length and vision to get the ball into the post.

--Scotty's TO at the end was a mixup on a play call.

--Not passing, screening, or playing well offensively.

--Melvin Goins did not have an assist in 27 minutes.

Is it me or do McBee and Pearl need to be on the bench? All they do is foul and both don't do anything on the offensive end

no, no we're still better than auburn

you just can't say anymore we're favorite/best in the division like the last few weeks.....if people were making preseason predictions again they'd probably say something like we're playing try to catchup to kentucky or something...maybe third

how to even dissect the Hindenburg that was tonight....sometimes I feel Pearl's substitutions are like affirmative action for white boys..

--Expects USC to pack it in and guard the paint. Vols only scored 38 points in the paint tonight and it's going to be ugly if Tennessee can't score more from the perimeter.

--Will do better job defending USC than last year.

--Team was focused and excited to play during preparation. Not executing, not screening and cutting. Not making shots.

--22 baskets on just 8 assists, not typical of Pearl teams.

The team that was focused and excited must not have made the trip to Charlotte. The team had no energy again tonight.

We had better spend some time passing in practice against a zone because we will see one every night until we start shooting the basketball with some consistentcy. We need to stop this rotation and keep the best players on the floor for 30-32 minutes. No flow on offense because we move people in and out every couple of minutes. Maymon will be a player.

I didn't see our other guards handing out any assists either. When we were playing well - everyone was penetrating and then finding the open man. Quick, crisp, distribution and passing. Now it's the Melvin dribble show and fling it up with two guys on you and the Scotty one on three show, etc. No one is looking to pass. Totally dis-functional offense and it has gotten to the point that teams are now playing a triangle and two when Pearl is in there. Just how valuable is a slow, 6'4 guy that doesn't dribble well, can't pass or shoot, and gets 20 minutes every game running around in circles?

Not only does he not do anything, he hurts everyone else because his man sags backs and doubles down on people that can score.

I read that we were 2-17 from 3 tonight. I didn't even realize it was that bad. I remember McBee and Hopson making the two 3s down the stretch. I'm trying to remember who else hit one, but I guess that could take until morning.
