I have been telling my UT basketball friends for years now that CBP doesn't know how to run a half-court offense. No ball screens, no pic-and-rolls, no cuts---everyone just stands around while the ball is passed around the horn and someone jacks up a 3 before the shot clock expires. I have watched Duke on many occasions and those guys run a structured offense. Why can Bruce not see his shortcomings and get some pointers from Coach K or even Mike's mentor---Bobby Knight? Bruce himself acknowleged that the Vols offense was primarily reliant on transition baskets. Time to learn some basketball, Bruce----and if these guys aren't capable of learning----re-visit your recruiting strategy. SC had no business routing Tennessee. NONE! :banghead2:

YES i love me some UT basketball but it is getting more and more painful to sit through and see exactly what you are talking about. Our big men come out and set screens time to time but we don't peel off them fast enough for it to even matter. Its a science. It could just be me too but its like we can't make up our mind if we want to shoot the 3 sometimes or drive. We give up a TON of open 3's a game jus to pass it off. This team needs some confidence too imo. I mean for the love of basketball we should be able to figure out how to penetrate a 2/3 zone!!

Instead of Coach K, the vol players need to go see the wizard--they need some heart, brains and courage.

YOu guys are so smart. He has only averaged over 20 wins a season, taken us further in the tournament than we ever have, helped us acheive a #1 ranking for the first time, won 2 division titles, but.............

he's no good; he's bad coach; he needs help.

You are the joke!

What are division titles?

Let me let you in on college basketball's dirty little secret. There is a national title tournament that decides the champ. Interim subjective measures, like our current ranking and the #1 that continues to be brought up here just don't matter. Titles matter.

The committee that had our tourney fate via seeding in its hands, didn't buy that ranking. Why do our fans continue to hold it up like it's manna? CBPs greatest achievement here is his SEC reg season title. Aside from that, we've lost the vast majority of our big games. let's when some of those with meaning and you'll have an argument. Until then, you're making up arbitrary measures in a sport that has concrete ones.

Wrong. UT had been to the Sweet 16 twice before Pearl. And there is no such thing as division "titles."
