i know its still early but bruce pearl has to be a candidate for national coach of the year.he deserves it for all that he has done with tennessee

There's still a lot of ball to be played, but he's definitely taking steps in that direction.

steps???? He is taking nice big leaps in that direction. I didnt expect his style of play to work this good....

Ok ok, I guess I just have a hard time believing that the Coach of the Year could be our Men's basketball coach. Give me time to get used to the idea.

The list of coaches who are doing as much with as little is very short. Dick Bennet at Washington State is the only one that comes to mind immediately.

very true. I am surprised he got t'd up and pearl never gets t'd up. Pearl scares me when he gets mad..

Billy literally gets T'd up every game, I don't know why, but he does.

Billy Donovan has two future NBA players in the post and Brewer and Green have potential to make the League. Name me the future pros on the UT and WSU rosters.

Not sure if he's big or quick enough to make the League. A lot of great shooters just don't have the physical tools to make the NBA.

very true but I think with two more years under coach Pearl and he would be at least a very good role player in the nba.. He can stroke the J...

I'm still not sure that Lofton has the size, or even ball handling skills to be an NBA player...

It was funny to see BD get that technical... I assume he SAID something? That's the only thing I could think of.

It's WAY to early to be looking at naming Pearl or anyone else Coach of the Year. But he's definitely running a strong campaign.
Got to love his coaching style, energy, heart & style of play & obviously, he's a heck of a motivator.

As I've stated many times before, UT's only had ONE great Heach Coach for years...Coach Pat Summitt.
It looks like she's got a good contentor playing on a shared court.

Its amazing what a run in the NCAA tourney done for him. What he has done here in a short amount of time is incredible. I havent seen fans this pumped up about basketball in over a decade.

Patience grasshopper. I want to savor the moment. AAhhh. Lets get through Kentucky and the SEC tourney before we talk Coach of the Year. Coach Pearl has done a wonderful job so far and is to be commended. The players need a little break from the pressure they are under. They had to spend a lot of energy last night and the week before. I hope we can continue to be successful. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

The ball is rolling in Pearl's favor, he seems to be fast becoming a "media darling". They seem to love the guy.
