Perhaps my memory is bad, but he seemed more critical of the team's performance tonight than I recall him being in prior years as the season wound down.

He talked about the team needing to play better in March. Which is true!

Maybe he's realized the season doesn't end February 28?

I'm becoming more convinced this team might have something in them to turn some heads in March. There's just something about them.

on another note...

Auburn beat Miss St. tonight. Expect a great effort from them on Saturday, I have a bad feeling about that game in Starkville.

We need to bring a big time effort if we want to walk out of there with that one on their senior night where they are fighting for their NCAA tourney lives.

The game agains Miss state doesn't mean too much for us. Making a run in the SEC would matter a lot more than beating miss state, but i would still like to beat them.

Beating MSU on the road going into the tourney would be MUCH better than losing right before. Gotta keep the momentum going and getting waxed like we did at UF would not bode well going into next week

Yes, I was surprised. Bob, as usual, tried to cozy up to Pearl with his standard "great win tonight" stuff. I thought Pearl would run with that and puff up his NCAA Tournament resume, as he has done in the past.

But no, he seemed tired of that act. He seemed fairly candid and realistic.

Beating Arkansas locked it up. Florida can no better than tie us but we get the tie breaker because if we lose to MSU and ty beatY e wil both be 10-6 and split head to head. However our division record against east opponents is next tie breaker and we have that locked up. we are 5-5 im pretty sure Florida is 3-6 so the KY game is irrellevant for SEC seeding but for their NCAA resume is huge!

Congrats to vols on the win over the hogs. They are a pretty good team so congrats once again. Hope to see u in the sec tourney, if not good luck in the ncaa tourney. :rock:

With the inconsistency I've seen this season from this Tennessee team, I would say there's a very good chance Mississippi State wins that one.

He is just coaching and playing the media,team and us. He is supposed to say things like that. Arkansas' not a bad team. Not like they thought , crap, were going to UT. We might as well just roll over. We'll be fine ,as long as Pearl has a game plan Vs. the opponent and he keeps the team focused. GO BIG ORANGE !!!!!!!!!!
