2011 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net
2012 Mock Draft | NBADraft.net

2011 NBA mock draft
27th pick Dallas Mavericks Tobias Harris

2012 NBA mock draft
37th pick Detroit Pistons Scotty Hopson
44th pick Memphis Grizzlies Cameron Tatum

With the possibility of the NBA having a lockout and what his dad has said about him staying two years. I think that Harris will stay for his sophmore year and will enter the 2012 draft and could be a top 15 pick. Is it possible that we could have 3 vols go in the same draft? And how will this help with our recruiting?

Let's hope it helps a lot. Scotty will go quicker then that next year.

You can't really make a prediction that Harris will stay when there's a great chance that the guy that recruited him won't be here next year.

I still think it's unlikely that his draft stock would decline due to a coaching change.

I agree. OP said he thought Harris would stay for a second year. I just pointed out that all bets are off until the coaching situation is settled.

IMO I just don't see him being one and done, with or without Pearl being here next year.

Sure. If Tennessee does lose Pearl, he doesn't like the replacement, and it looks like an NBA lockout is immenent, it could make sense for him to transfer, sit a year, then enter the draft. Who knows.

No way he would want to sit out a year, play another year and then go to the draft. If we were to hire a decent coach, he would stay. He would be an effective player in any system.

My point is there are a lot of scenarios out there.

JR Giddens transferred from Kansas to New Mexico. At the time, he was a decent prospect.

The only place that decision would make sense in is Bizarroland.

This is a good starting point but there are high school kids and European players who will enter the draft. This will move everything around.

(don't understand thread title). How is this a Pearl problem?

Having players good enough to play in the NBA is not a problem.

His problem is he has zero of his recruits in the NBA as of right now. Which is a huge negative with a 5* recruit wanting to play for him when they are trying to get to the next level. Having 3 players go in one year would fix that problem..

Just by the use of Draft Net this can not be taken seriously, but both Scotty and Tobias could be drafted this year if they leave (they will). Cam may get drafted 2nd round next year because of his body type and likelihood of being leading scorer next year.
Also, draftnet has Harrison Barnes not leaving this year, which is almost impossible.

Have to say I'd be surprised if Scotty stayed another year.

Cam drafted in the second round doesn't mean a thing. 2nd round picks contracts usually aren't guaranteed if I remember correctly
