Good to see he's off coaching fiercely competitive games instead of doing something silly like being on the recruiting trail.

You can hurl 25 shots and 20 free throws, You cant hit 15 pts, you need to consider soccer or curling. BB is not your game. Time to diversify.

I can understand Pearl's desire to represent, but this is just a waste of time. No one, outside of Jews and Tennessee fans, are going to know/care what happens at these games. It just seems even worse after the disappointing season last year.

Yeah, I'm interested in how the U.S. does, as I am with most international team sports events. But, if I wasn't a UT fan, I wouldn't even know these Games were happening and may not know they exist.

I hope the rest of the games are better. I'm trying to give Bruce the benefit of the doubt here, but it sounds like there were four or five teams I played against in a rec league this year who would have done better than the Mexicans.

I think that article said the USA finished 4th four years ago - so that's something. It's not like Bruce is coaching a team that's been cake-walking to the gold every time.

My bet is that me and the pick up teams I play on when I'm just screwing around at the gym could beat mexico's jews.

There are a fair number of Jews in Mexico...I believe from 2 sources 1) Spaniards that were expelled for their Jewish roots many years ago and 2) more recent (last century) Jewish immigrants from Russia. I actually know a Mexican who is Jewish...his grandmother came from Russia.

Thanks for the info. I thought Mexican Jews were as common as dark-skinned albinoes with receding bangs.
