Pelosi accuses CIA of misleading her on use of waterboarding - CNN.com

Pelosi reiterated an earlier claim that she was briefed on such techniques only once -- in September 2002 -- and that she was told at the time that the techniques were not being used.
A recently released Justice Department memo says that the CIA used waterboarding at least 83 times in August 2002 in the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah, a suspected al Qaeda leader imprisoned at U.S. facilities in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Pelosisaid that one month later, she was told only that the Justice Department had concluded that such techniques were legal, not that they were being used.
"That's the only mention, that they were not using it. And we now know that earlier, they were," Pelosi said at her weekly news conference.

Do they not take minutes or something in these briefings? Surely there is some sort of record of the meeting to show she's full of it.

She must have gone into one of those seizures or something, how else do you explain the wild, rapid eye movements she has sometimes. It's pretty scary really.

I'm telling you people she is doing what politicians have been doing for years now. Lying to the people to keep their power and position. She knows if her lunatic voters at home believe she knew and did nothing they would throw her out on her ear.

anybody who thinks this woman is intelligent must think George W. is the President of the local MENSA chapter. W may have mangleized the language, but Pelosi has trouble with basic coherent structure.

This is not going to go away for Nancy. She has thrown the gauntlet down by stating that the CIA lied (more or less). Does anyone else get the impression she may have been thrown under the bus by this administration?
