WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday ramped up her criticism of insurance companies, accusing them of unethical behavior and working to kill a plan to create a new government-run health plan.
"It's almost immoral what they are doing," Pelosi said to reporters, referring to insurance companies. "Of course they've been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure," she said, adding, "They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening."

What an idiot. I'd like to know this method they are using to kill a government solution to something though. I'd buy me some of that.

How could they possibly overcome both houses of congress and the White House, by themselves? Answer: they couldn't. She is just trying to make them the figurehead of the resistance, to deflect from the wider grassroots opposition.

She and Harry Reid have taken a large chuck of the $7.2mil that the health sector have lovingly donated to the Democratic Party.

Then apparently turned around and called them villains. So basically she is that way to everyone in this nation (such as the CIA). She uses people and then tries to destroy them. A great person you've put in DC, San Francisco.

The insurance companies are one of the most powerful lobbies in the nation.

There will be a VERY WELL FUNDED Republican running against Pelosi next go around.

Look for 'independently funded' attacks ads galore.

Pelosi isn't smart or savvy enough to hold the position she does. She is an embarrassment to herself and the nation, she has set back women in politics by at least 10 years. Her picture deserves a prominent place on the FAIL blog.
