gop paid for their spending, as did the dems. the big difference is that the gop seemed to have learned from their mistakes.

does it really matter if the pledged $1tril since it won't get past the Pres? And the bar that was set by the last Congress really isn't that great. But keep blaming the 2-days-on-the-job Repubs for not doing enough

Per various new sources , that $100B was lowered to $35B the day after the Weeper took the gavel...

Didn't dismiss the spending that happen over the last 4. What I dismissed is the thought that the deficit/debt problem is strictly DEM or GOP issue. Spending has been out of control for 40 years by BOTH parties.

Do you buying into the idea that ONLY $100B could be cut from the budget? Hell the DOD found over $100B in cuts....about 15% of their budget.

im not calling you a socialist, i'm making a general point. i was in the USN for 6. supporting and defending our constitution.

bush and gop did not cut the deficit like they should have and the gop paid for it. but since 2007 the dems spent a ton of money and they paid for it.
