The fact is JoePa knew about the 98 incident, and in 02 a child was raped in JoePas locker room.

There are victims here and the victims are NOT Paterno, his assistants, the now or former administrators of Penn State. The victims are NOT the fans, the players, or the win/loss ratio of a university. The VICTIMS are the children. Who cares a rip about any of the rest of it? How much "more information" would you need if you were the parent of the young children?

HOw do you explain knowing your friend and DC is a child molester yet you allow him to retire with emeritus status, AND give him an office and full use of the facilities for he and his children from the foundation?

He is royally ****ed. He is probably lucky in that he'll die while he is being prosecuted for conspirarcy and perjury

no one here has taken it to that extreme that I've seen. No one is being put in a lake to see if they float or burned at the stake. All people are saying is that JoePa can't absolve himself of any responsibility because he went to the guy in charge of the PSPD payroll. His actions over the next decade+ showed what he truly felt of the situation

You didn't read the grand jury report where there were 7 victims and a mother with a voice recording of Sandusky admitting to wrong doing.

Stop downplaying it to "just a guy"

Thank God Joe Paterno is fired. I never thought I would say it, but he's a piece of ****. He knew enough to stop it, he said it in court and he said it outside of his house.

Everyone else is about to get theirs too, don't worry.

I've seen JP on tv three times in the last two days. The opportunity to "defend himself" has been there, as evidenced by the multiple camera crews and horde of reporters camped out in front of his residence. He has CHOSEN to remain quiet on the subject multiple times.

yes I would call the police if I saw or knew about a 10yo boy being raped by an employee of mine. I would hope most would apply that in their lives as well

Paterno didn't get fired for committing a crime. Paterno is not going to be tried in a legal action....but he definitely is fired because he didn't act like a man in that position should act.
