He said he wished he would have done more and pray for the victims or whatever.

Honestly, I don't disagree with people who hate those that allow children to get raped.

I just don't think some of you are realizing what kind of a crime this really is.

Let Sandusky get your kids in a shower Lord knows how many times, and then tell me how you feel about Paterno turning a blind eye because he is worried about Iowa's passing attack and he doesn't want his friend to get in trouble.

Failure to make a simple phone call to the authorities might have prevented some of this. Paterno admitted that he "should have done more" . Due process will take its course; in the meantime, the University was correct in the dismissal of those responsible in any form of this abuse of CHILDREN.

I've seen JP on tv three times in the last two days. The opportunity to "defend himself" has been there, as evidenced by the multiple camera crews and horde of reporters camped out in front of his residence. He has CHOSEN to remain quiet on the subject multiple times.

my guess is someone has advised him not to say anything about this. Anything. You cannot prejudge or even twist words if you do not say a thing.

I understand the crime. And it's the worst thing any body can do to another person.

Yea, chances are high Paterno had no clue why his DC of 30 years suddenly "retired."

Paterno didn't know much of anything as it turns out.

Absolutely agree. But the poster I was replying to was saying that JP was being crucified without having had the opportunity to speak out and defend himself. And that's just crap.

What was your opinion on his child molestation case?

So your argument has gone from what happens in movies to completely separate cases that have nothing to do with anything?

Was Michael hired to represent an entire University?

Was Michael hired to protect and lead young men?

Was Michael an employee of a State Funded University?

yes I would call the police if I saw or knew about a 10yo boy being raped by an employee of mine. I would hope most would apply that in their lives as well

With all due respect, you don't have a clue what you would have done in McQueary's situation, and unless you are in your 70's, a WWII veteran, and a 50 year employee and Head Football Coach at Penn State you don't have a clue what you would have done. Its all just wild speculation.
