I'm moving to Pensacola the day before the USU game. I was wondering if anyone on here is from or familiar with the area and could suggest a place that is not gator swamped to watch the game. I appreciate any info you have to offer. Go Vols!

Go to New York Nick's down in the old city. The guys a bona-fide yankee who started a restaurant down there. Great burgers and other food, great atmosphere, dozens of flat screens usually marked with the upcoming game. May fav in Pensacola.

Try out the Blue Wahoos baseball team. Ballpark is right on the water and almost new. Great experience!

I just got back from there. It's one of my family's favorite places.

FYI, there are as many Tide and Auburn fans as there are Gator and Seminole fans in that town. Unfortunately you are going to be a fish out of water as a Volunteer, but who cares? GBO!

On the plus side, you get amazing beaches (Visit the National Seashore in Pensacola Beach), amazing seafood (Go to Joe Patti's), and the Blue Angels. It's gonna be awesome, IMO.

Brother lived there for six months in early 90's. I loved going down to visit. Gulf Breeze white sand beaches are so nice.

Lived there while in the Navy in early and late 80's. Unfortunately no Internet at the time so was at the will of CBS, ABC, NBC and ESPN. I had a fancy VCR player and my parents would tape the games and send to me.
Got to think most bars will always have the SEC Network and that will help.
Otherwise asked bar manager to change the local game to the Tennessee game then yell "go vols".

Yep.

Red's farm team. 2A I beleive. We caught a game while we were down there a month ago. My 4 yo had a blast. He stopped play when he tossed a ball over the right field wall into center. He was a celeb out there.

U are more than welcome to watch the game at my house. Don't worry about those fans of that team in Gainesville. I will lead us into battle against them.

There is a bar on Okaloosa Island (between Ft Walton and Destin) that has a big pier (next to crab shack) where the Vol Alumni group meets up to watch all the games. I lived in Destin for 2 years and watched most games there. 45 min drive from Pensacola but worth it
