People not very confident in us for next year.

They probably only take into account the people that are leaving without accounting for the people joining.

Memphis????? Boy their recruiting class is sure making up for a sucky season in this poll. If recruiting classes play a factor, then we're definitely top 20.

This is to be expected.

We have no returning starters on the OL, we are breaking in yet another QB and lost arguably the best defensive player we have ever had.

People better get ready for a rough season. The best we can hope for is to see marked improvement as the season goes along, alot like last year.

We are going to need 2 maybe 3 more recruiting classes of OL and DL to compete with the top tier teams

It's about basketball dude.

LOL at Murray State in the top 25

So a 2nd round Murray State team losing 3 seniors is more impressive to him than an elite 8 Tennessee team losing 3 seniors? ok..

Borderline. Sweet 16 would be an over-achievement IMO. Replacing hardened vets with rookies and transfers is no walk in the park.

Florida is there too, doesn't make much sense, especially because we are not there. We should be and I'm sure we will be.

That's not the proper way to look at it. Sure we're replacing Wayne with a freshman, but we'll still have a senior point guard, and we'll have a junior wing tandem of Scotty and Tatum and a senior big man in Brian Williams. I don't think there will be that much slippage.

We will be a fun team to watch next year. I really like the way Brian Williams finished the season and the guys coming in will be amazing!!! I am excited! I hope we are ranked number 25 all the way to the final 4 baby!!!! :)

Haha who cares? The polls don't mean too much imo. Bruce WILL use this as extra motovation for next season. This could be a good thing for us.

Yeah it's always nice to get some love from the media, but polls mean nothing, that was made apparent yet again this year when they handed out the seeds for the tournament.

In the here and now, today's poll. In the soon to be anybody's guess future, who knows. It's easy for some writers to take away who is leaving and make a less than educated guess where the team will place. More difficult to assess each teams losses and gains from the end of the year to the beginning of the next. Too much trouble for most "journalists".

Witch Doctor say polls..smolls..,,probably the same ones that said we'd be gone in the first round of NCAA..its really a good thing to keep sneaking up on people while we still can as a program.
