Perceptions of Saban, Miles not always reality

As much as I hate bammer and LSU, I respect Saban with a great deal.

Outside of Football, Saban is a great guy.

When he was at MSU he was the face for several charities, including the Sparrow Foundation which is essentially a support arm for Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

There are a ton of things that Nick, and family, do for the community.

My cousins kid used to play baseball with Nicks kid. They went to school together and still are friends. Nick would come to baseball practice and always had his glove with him, and was out in the field working with the kids (sure, this kept the parents off him, but it was more for the kids)

It would be pure torture trying to coach Nicks kids, but when Nick comes out onto the field with you, it makes it a ton easier.

Off the field he is a good dude, regular guy just like the rest of us, and probably would be all over that Louisville Cheerleader thread if he allowed himself to go to a sports message board!! :eek:lol:

ALSO: On the field,

Nick was TICKED when his players went "disrespectful" at Florida during their romp earlier this year. He was also ticked last year when players stepped out of line against MSU during the bowl last year.

He wants to win and win BIG, but he wants to do it with respect. That doesnt always happen, and there are some things I dont like about the way nick coaches, but I have to give him credit for these things.

Wasn't there a tool on this board that called Saban out for "only" donating like $50k to the tornado relief? I can't find the thread now.

Please share the things you don't like about how Saban coaches? But beside that I think he is an awesome coach and great guy.

They are very minor, and if I posted them here I would sound like more of a douchenozzle than I normally do. Let's just keep it at "very minor things", and leave it at that.

I would take him as my coach any day. If you could arrange a trade between him and muschamp I would be so excited I would probably pee myself. Seriously. (and I like Muschamp. . . minus the temper tantrums)

Thats another thing: Sabans temper tantrums are usually directed at his own team (not always of course) but usually in the "quit being an idiot" nature of tantrum. I can deal with that. I think he could cut down on the F bombs in kids faces, but the are big kids, they should be able to handle it.

Minor things, really
