Just curious about where you see these guys shaking out on the roster as we switch back to the 4-3...feel free to add thoughts.

Jordan Williams (LB or DE)
Jaques Smith (LB or DE)
LaTroy Lewis (LB or DE)
Darrington Sentimore (DE or DT)
Brent Brewer (OLB or S)
Tom Smith (transfer?)
Deion Bonner (stay on team?)
Cody Blanc (WR or DB)
Justin King (FB or TE or LB or RB)
Greg King (TE or LB)
Omari Phillips (stay on team?)
Marlon Walls (DE or DT)
Corey Miller (DE or DT)
Trevarris Saulsberry (DE or DT)
Trent Taylor (DE or DT)

I like the 3-4, especially when it's executed correctly and you have the players to fit the system. UGA and UA seem to be doing fairly well with it.

I was excited about the switch to the 3-4....we just found the absolute worst person in the country to implement it...fortunately we were only 1 year into that project and are now switching back...however, it does seem to put several of our players in limbo as far as where they will fit...curious to hear where folks think some of these guys will be plugged in and what success they might or might not have

J. Smith could be an animal DE. He reminds me of Jevon Kearse in some ways. He could be as good as Clowny or Jarvis Jones.

Butch has said that we will be playing a 4-3....so here are my guesses

Jordan Williams (LB or DE) - Tough call...DE
Jaques Smith (LB or DE) - DE
LaTroy Lewis (LB or DE) - DE
Darrington Sentimore (DE or DT) DT
Brent Brewer (OLB or S) S
Tom Smith (transfer?) - not sure how that fits into D puzzle, but yeah, I can see him transferring. Just not SEC talent.
Deion Bonner (stay on team?) - I hope he thrives under Butch's system. He can be a good CB.
Cody Blanc (WR or DB) - Not a fan...maybe DB...I think he should transfer
Justin King (FB or TE or LB or RB) - LB
Greg King (TE or LB) - LB
Omari Phillips (stay on team?) - Great size, world of talent, but no motor. Doubt that he makes the cut.
Marlon Walls (DE or DT) - DT
Corey Miller (DE or DT) - DE
Trevarris Saulsberry (DE or DT) - small DT
Trent Taylor (DE or DT) - DE

I know I like Jacques as a rush end in the 4-3, I think Sentimore would be a good 3 technique DT.

I think Brewer will move down to OLB in my opinion we will have put him there cause we have enough talent at S especially if Von Bell is coming in. We need the best guys on the field and a hybrid player like brewer as a OLB/S on the field would be great

Jacques is more ripped than Jevon. Jevon really struggled to stay heavy enough to play defensive end in the pros. Jon Runyan once said that he was easy to block because he was so light. Jevon was one of the rare guys who would lose 20-30 pounds in the off-season. And would have to put it back on every years. Most guys are the other way around.

Jacques has an opportunity to have a monster year and make a lot of money in the NFL. However, his desire hasn't been there the last three years. I doubt that he has the passion that it takes to advance to the next level. Hope he proves me wrong.

J Smith has been a bust up to this point. Almost no production. Wasn't he a 5*?

If I had to compare him to anyone, it would be not be even close to J Kearse or J Clowney.

This one fascinates me.

The Freak was 6' 4" and 265 lbs during his day. He had 4.43 speed, huge hands, and extra long arms. He could speed rush, bull rush, use the swim technique, loop and cover RB's if asked. In short he could terrorize an offense when healthy and the opponents schemed away from him as much as possible.

JS is 6' 2" and 245 lbs. He has 4.5.5-6 speed and normal hands/arms. Well built, but normal. He can only speed rush and has been minimally effective. No offense bothers to even consider him in their game plans.

Can't be serious on the comparison. Just can't.
