Petrino and Smart

Can we cross these guys off the list? During the presser, Hart said he wanted someone with intgruity (Sorry Petrino, Davis, and Tressel) and that head coaching experaince was vital. (Bye bye Mr. Smart.) Or is this just him saying stuff? Because I didn't for one minute believe he hadn't contacted anyone at all over the job before today.

For awhile I really thought it'd be Smart (unfortunately), but I have to agree after the press conference. Hart's feet are to the fire and he has to get someone with HC experience. Right now my gut is saying Mike Stoops is going to be a top candidate.

I wouldn't try to read into it. I'm not sure he was giving out any Da Vinci code clues. However, I would imagine that you are correct and we won't be getting any of those guys.
