yes, they hired Calipari so I see no reason why they wouldnt hire Petrino

and I would not like that development so hoping it doesnt happen

JMO but I dont think that ky cares enough about football to take that big of a risk.

Now they'd bet the farm, and did, on basketball.

I agree with you SC. I think it is very possible it could happen (and yes, it would be in 2012 and Joker would most likely be gone at the end of November or sooner). I think they could do it because he will be looking to go to a school that doesn't care so much about moral fiber as they do about improving a program. He would be there long enough to repair his rep and gone, but it could put KY on the map for a few years.

Edit: fmp

Petrino will have a job in January 2013, at some University, so if Ky. waits after January 2013, Petrino will not be available.
I think that " He is a joker, he is a smoker, he is a midnight toker" (Joker Phillips) will be gone from Ky. after this season.

If they do, we will have to get used to what happened last year, only worse..........imo, jmo, tifwiw

That's what I am afraid of. Don't know if we would have to get used to it, but dang, if KY got interested in football, the last game of the year would all the sudden get real.

Arkansas is a historically good program that is very near multiple recruiting hotbeds and has a rabid football fan base. Kentucky has none of these attributes...
