Peyton after the NFL

With our QB situation being what it is, I've been wondering what Peyton has planned after he retires from the NFL.

I seem to recall an article a while back where Peyton said he might consider coaching at some level. If he were to decide to coach after the NFL, do you think he would do so in the NFL or maybe come back to UT (provided he was offered)? Oh,before someone bashes me, no I'm not suggesting that we need a change in the staff atm.

I personally think he would make a wonderful QB coach at either level. He is pretty much the CO-OC for the Colts as it is. Also if he were offered a job here, think of what that would do for us as far as recruiting the top QB's in each class. I mean what Pro-Style QB in their right mind wouldn't want to learn from Peyton Manning. I would think that he would command as much respect from future QB's as Monte gets from future defensive players.

While he may become a QB coach...I think more likely it will be doing advertising and network commentary if he does anything: ala marino and bradshaw

Although I could see him working for one of the networks and I'm sure they will throw more $$$ at him than he could shake a stick at, I don't think he will.

He has always impressed me as someone that just loves being in the game and he probably puts in as much time as many coaches do. He also impresses me as someone that likes to teach. Look at the time he spends and has spent with our QB's since he's left.

Who's the last great professional player to become even a good coach? I've always heard folks theorize that they just are not wired to be good coaches.

I'd say he most likely becomes an analyst/commentator, with maybe some acting.

Off the top of my head and just for NFL head coaches/ NFL player.

Mike Singletary
Ken Whisenhunt
Mike Tomlin
Mike Ditka
Raymond Berry
Tom Landry (Invented the 4-3 defense).

Peyton seems like he would be a good coordinator. I don't know about coach, because he may not have the patience or w/e to work out with someone elses arm/motion/all that, but you know he can call a mean game.

I heard he's going to buy an island in the south Pacific and live there with a harem.

I dunno, I just dont see him as the coaching type at all. I dont think brady will do it either honestly
