From #Peyton Manning at #SuperBowlMediaDay: "Tennessee Volunteer Football is coming back!"

he had alittle more to say:

"It's an exciting group of Tennessee guys on our team. We stick together," said Manning. "Tennessee Volunteer football is coming back. We have taken a little abuse in the locker room from (Georgia's) Champ Bailey and some other SEC guys, but we have stayed strong.

"It's been fun to play with a group of guys with the same alma mater. All of us are proud to represent the University. Being a Vol For Life means a great deal."

Of all the Vols that have played in Neyland Stadium, it sure is a nice coincidence that one of them happened to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. And that he loves this program.

I dread the Sunday afternoon in the Fall when I turn on the NFL and there is no #18 on the field dissecting the opponents. PM is my favorite VFL. Good luck Peyton on Sunday!!

Yeah in pro football I pull for individuals instead of teams. Or maybe more precisely pull for teams with former Vols on them. So Colts then Broncos for Peyton, Cowboys for Whitten, just never could form an allegiance to a pro franchise. Even when a kid it was Jets for Joe Willie and Colts for Johnny U. That 69 Super Bowl would have been be a tough pick but Johnny lost the job to injury so it was Jets baby.

I would love to see him retire after this Superbowl win. Take a year or 2 off. Then come to Tennessee as the Quarterbacks coach. Man, what a teacher to have full time. And possibly a good QB recruiter? Maybe...:)

I would agree with him as QB coach and Fulmer as OL coach. We need to pool our resources.

There's now way that you can say he wouldn't be a good coach. The guy's preparation habits alone would be invaluable to the young kids.

I would also imagine he would have a pretty good chance of recruiting #1 QB in the country every year.

Peyton:
"Son, would you like to learn how to take one look at the defense and know what they will do every time. I will teach you how to do that and also become your own OC so people don't bother you telling you what to do."

Recruit:
Yes sir, where do I sign and can you please promise you will not change your mind and still want me come February signing day?
