NASHVILLE - Legendary Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning, who played last season for the Denver Broncos, has agreed to speak at Tennessee's spring coaching clinic, Butch Jones announced today.

The clinic is scheduled for April 11-13 during UT's spring practice.

Jones said he's developed a good relationship with Manning and the four-time NFL MVP recently agreed to return to campus to speak.

It would be funny if he got Lovie and Gruden to speak. This place would blow up in speculation.

It would be great to have some recruits in TN come by on an unofficial so they could hang out with him some. If its OK that is.

If Peyton ever coaches anywhere, he will be the best in the business. He is a leader that has walked the walk and talked the talk. He knows every position on a football field.

and lulz at peyton being a future coach

NEVER SAY NEVER.

ESPN, then being on the field and in the game rears it's competitive head. It's just a question of walking into any pro teams office and saying hey I think I would like to try coaching or the same at the college level. Hell he wouldn't even have to do that just set at the announcers booth of Monday Night football and say any body need a coach........ It would be the sports equivalent of Moses parting the Sea.

If any HOF caliber player was ever going to make a great coach, Manning seems like the type who would. He has always struck me as being a player of average talent who did anything and everything that needed to be done to get the absolute most out of himself. That's the sort of thing that would translate well to coaching.

That said, I don't see him coaching. Most people with a net worth of more than $100 million aren't looking into starting another career so that they can work 80 hours a week and spend countless nights on the road away from their families. Maybe, but I'd think selling Buicks and Oreos and doing SNL cameos would be a lot more fun.
