I've said this in another thread, but you guys need to go to the "plays of Fulmer era" poll at utsports.com and vote for the '95 Peyton to Joey Kent play: 80 yard touchdown the first play from scrimmage.

The youngsters have Wilhoit's 2004 kick to beat UF in the lead. That was a great kick, but Peyton and Joey erased 12 years of frustration in about 10 seconds on that play.

I am only 21 and agree that the Manning to Kent play was great, but it was the start of many great plays that game. The Wilhoit kick was a great play because it won the game when it looked to be lost, and helped propel us to the SECCG. My vote goes to the Wilhoit FG, but not because I am a youngster.

I have to say that Tennessee Alabama game in 1995 was a very special one for me and the opening play to J Kent sticks out to me in my mind as one of the greatest I have seen. It was one of the greatest birthday gifts I have ever received. Notice all the 14s as well. On that October 14, I turned 14 years old and the score was 14 to 41 (14 backwards). Anyway, I am 24 years old now was privilaged to be in the stands for both of those games and my vote goes for Peyton to Kent. If anyone was there and stayed after the game you will also remember the team coming out on Legion field smoking cigars and the band playing in the stadium until a man came over the loudspeaker forcing us to leave! GO VOLS!

I think Wilhoit's field goal against Florida in 2004 was emblematic of that whole season. On paper, we weren't that good. Long shots (50+ yard field goal) to win the SEC east. Still, we went out, played hard, got a little crafty with the QB casting between Ainge and Schaeffer. The offensive philosophy that season was, literally, "Just when you think you know the answers, we change the questions!" Beat Florida and Georgia in the same season for the second time in 12 seasons (other time was, of course, 1998). Won the division.

And it took me 14 shots of Jack Daniels to forget that game. My head still hurts from that hangover!
