I would love to have seen Peyton play under Hype’s system.
He would not have gone 0 vs Florida.

Actually, I'd have loved seeing Condredge Holloway, Tony Robinson, Heath Shuler and Dobbs in this system more than Manning. They're all a much better fit IMO.
It's hard to imagine Holloway being more entertaining to watch than he was.

Peyton couldn’t run. He’s not Heupel’s preferred type of QB. You don’t have to be a duel threat, but you need to be able to scramble for positive yards. Hendon led our team in rushing attempts last year.

Shuler and Tee would have flourished in this offense more than Manning. Both could throw a nice deep ball to stretch the defense and could run if needed.
Another qb that would would have thrived under Heupel would have been Jerry Colquitt. People forget that during the 92 preseason he and Shuler were both pushing for the starting spot. Always looked solid when he came in as a backup to Heath in 93 and was going to have a great season in 94 prior to his injury.

With this offense, ya probably need a more mobile qb.......................but I'm sure PM would flourish in any system
Agreed , this offense includes letting the qb take off at any time which HH does well. Not sure Peyton could be that threat to the defense like HH.

Peyton and Heupel would have found a way to make it work. That would have been a combo of some serious offensive brain power.

Shuler would have had some ridiculous stats in this offense. Now, imagine Shuler and Charlie Garner with this set up.

Give me josh Dobbs or who was the one kid splitting reps with Ainge his freshman year? Mobile kid? I always liked his game.

I actually think Brian Maurer (sp?) would have done really well. His tendency to get injured would’ve been the drawback. But he could move and flashed a good deep ball from time to time.
