Maybe early in his career, but the post Achilles injury Marino may have been the most immobile QB of all time.(JennVols @ Jan 17 said:I'm a woman, not a girl.
Marino could scramble a whole heck of a lot better than Manning. Marino could throw the ball more precise than Manning. Marino will always be better than Manning.
OK, smart aleck.....The kicker is the one guy that practices what he does more than anyone else...How does he miss that kick? It was a chip shot, any other kicker in the NFL would hit that....Peyton was the one that game them the chance to get that close, after the fact that Bettis fumbled it, he all but handed Vanderjagt the game to win....But since you're oh so knowledgable we'll take your words for it :moon2:(hatvol96 @ Jan 16 said:Yeah, real choker. That's the first playoff field goal he's missed. I guess it was him who threw the ball to Ty Law about a hundred times in the playoffs two years ago and I guess he's the reason the Jets shut them out in '02 and I guess he's the reason they couldn't score a meaningful TD against the Patriots last year. You're right, the Colts would be a dynasty if it weren't for the most accurate kicker in NFL history.
(JennVols @ Jan 17 said:Since you have to critique everything that I post.......let me clarify what I meant so you can understand it. Manning can break every single record that Marino had, but he will never throw the ball as well as Dan Marino did. Does that explanation satisify you?![]()

He played for the Dolphins, plus he won the SB, I figured he was a top 5 QB of all time.
A 46 yarder is a chip shot? So, by that logic, anything inside of 60 yards is easy. That's interesting to know, since the league record is 63 yards. Given that 46 is a chip shot, I can't believe someone hasn't hit from 70 yet.(#10_Ainge_#10 @ Jan 17 said:OK, smart aleck.....The kicker is the one guy that practices what he does more than anyone else...How does he miss that kick? He needed a great supporting cast. That's what worries me about the Colts' situation. Maybe players like Edgerin James have no more motivation and will leave instead of signing a new contract.

(utfantilidie @ Jan 17 said:I see your points but it seems your agenda is to discredit Peyton. I will always admire Peyton even if he never wins another game. Oh by the way, in case academics means anything to you, he graduated from college with better than a 3.5. Now, that's a A in case you don't know. :dunno: Well rounded young man=Peyton Manning. Now, where is Steve Spurrier, oh thats right, he couldn't make it as a pro qb or coach.Oh well.Be sure to pull for Al Wilson and the Broncos this weekend a well as Demetrin Veal.(both UT boys).
(RealVol @ Jan 17 said:Yeah...that's all good. But what a stupid statement! Regardless of education.
What ever happened to just plain ole common sense. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER complaint about those that protect your ass!
Plain & simple quit whining.
