I just now heard from a friend that Peyton Manning has donated $15 Million to the University to "fix football". Also expect a coach to be announced on or before Nov. 30th. Good things about Gruden in general but nothing specific. Not claiming as fact just found it interesting.

If the donation turns out to be true, I personally would feel a lot more confident about landing Gruden.

I just briefly skimmed. So much to go through these days. So is this confirmed or others hearing the same thing?

15 million would be 8% of his net worth, so I cant see it being that much. I figure he donated 1-2, I think its more of his influence pushing this hire.

But does he really need 187,500,000 ? I mean at some point you gotta have no idea what to do with it lol.

Meachum told you this personally, right?

I wish people would quit making these stupid assumptions.. You have NO idea why he called/calls out his hi school.. Leave it alone...

Doesn't he also mention the location being in the state of Tennessee? To me, he's got the opportunity to shout out both at once. I've never understood why fans want to think the worst without evidence.

More money more problems.. His expenses are higher and he is a buisness man. Its just not a reasonable amount for someone to donate. 1-2 would give him some nice tax breaks though. Between all the other richer boosters and the shifting of funds from academics 15 million isnt necessary from Peyton.

Yeah he told me at the Titans game last year.. nah just playing, that was probably a bit of a reach on my part.. you see guys claiming there colleges with pride and to see one claim a middle or high school just seems not as proud of their University

He may not be proud of UT but until he says "UT sux" on national TV, you just don't know..
