Peyton's Last Game might be today so watch. All will depend on if they win and if his physical in march says his neck is stable or not. If not he will almost have to retire. Let's GO Broncos! Beat loud Mouth Rivers and Gates and the chargers.

he's already been confirmed to be returning for the 2014 season. chill.

OP is correct. ESPN has article that even Peyton himself confirms that his future of playing depends on what the exam in March says and what kind of results he gets.

Agree... good QB, aggressive, otherwise he comes across as a punk. Enjoy seeing him take body shots.

I'm wondering how many visitors on volnation.com in January needed reminding that Peyton Manning was playing today. I'm sure that person appreciates your thread

I want him to play as long as he can and go out of top. But it's hard to not considered the possibility of him coaching one day.

I always laugh at those expecting Peyton to coach one day. Very few greats go into coaching, and it's very rare for those few to succeed. Current example: Jason Kidd.

Someone on some sports show that I can't remember made a good point. Jason Kidd and all the greats see so much more in the game than an average to even good player will ever see or understand. And they see EVERYTHING (to include what an average to good player sees) way earlier. For them to try to coach a lesser player is next to impossible because they can't teach them what they instinctively see and do.

Peyton is loaded, a media darling and has one of the most storied careers in sports history. If he doesn't ride off into the sunset, he'll be behind a camera on Saturdays and/or Sundays, not on a sideline.

Agreed. I can see him however having camps and things.

If this is Peyton's last game, I don't want to watch! :cray:

Peyton is not retiring from coaching anytime soon. Its just a matter of when he retires from playing. Make no mistake, he has always been a coach.

I could easily see Manning being a coach. He's coached his offense on the field for years. He has a competitive nature, a love for the game, and he can get through to people. He loves the game. He holds camps every year to coach the younger generation. Being a coach is not a huge leap. It's easier for me to see him as a coach than it is to picture him walking away from the game completely. Sure, he could be an analyst, but I'm not sure that would satisfy him. Honestly, a lot of his personality reminds me of his former coach, Tony Dungy. Dungy had to get to a certain point before he was content to leave the sidelines and be an analyst. I could see PM following the same route. But hey, that's JMO.

It's as if you haven't paid attention at all. If he fails the physical, which might happen, he's done. You've made the dumbest post yet in this realistic thread.

He just set umpteen records...performing at an elite level...he's as apt to FAIL A PHYSICAL as Cam Newton...sorry to interrupt...you were waxing eloquent on stupidity?
