Also shows that signing a "Blue Chip" recruit doesn't guarantee success.
Very odd that class. To me it’s a shocker JG hasn’t transferred along the way. Not a knock on him, he’s taken plenty of grief from us all. I’m just saying he’s has multiple coaches and every reason to start fresh. He’s a tough kid. And I think signing these kind of guys is preferred, but you’re right about it not guaranteeing success.

Yep. Say what ya want about his play, but I can't knock his heart and loyalty. I wish more kids had that in today's world.

Well that sad reality is that all those that transferred knew they had a legitimate shot at starting if they moved on. JG is the only one that would have had little chance to go to another P5 school and just take over the starting job.

Why? As long as he "won practice" these past spring and fall camps Pruitt made it clear that he was going to play him until he absolutely couldn't risk it any longer. There was no reason for him to risk transferring to a school where he wouldn't have his "experience" carry as much weight with the staff as it does for him at UT.

Won't be surprised to see a repeat in 2020 of spending all of spring and fall trying to get JG finally ready to play SEC ball, and have him come out and underwhelm for 4 games, and then toss in another QB who has had little time with the first team offense to try to keep from tanking entirely.

JG was intending to transfer, had selected his school, he just waited too long to submit.

Kinda like his passing.

Just kidding. Lotsa heart, good kid. Just can’t seem to get the game to slow down for him.

Great post.

Just summed up why I'm struggling to predict much north of a 7-8 win season in 2020. If JG gets rid of his dr jeckyl/mr hyde performances week over week, we can win 9-10...that, or fail fast and get a new guy in there.

I just hope coach Pruitt will play the best man and give them the needed 1st team reps like it seams JG has hogged for the last 7 years. It’s just hard for me to understand why they think JG has more upside than BM...I hope HB comes in and puts an end to this BS drama football associated with JG. Tough isn’t good enough people. Their are more tough kids out there than y’all think. We need productive
