For reference, a grade of 60 is PFF's baseline/average.

The team overall is 91.9, which ranks 16th in the nation. For comparison, #1 is Michigan at 97.0.

The offense as a whole ranks 57th overall with a 73.4 grade. 61.2 passing grade, 85.6 running grade.

The defense as a whole ranks 8th overall with a 92.4 grade. 93.5 coverage grade, 87.1 pass rush grade, 79.8 run defense grade.

Do they offer any Special Teams grades?
Oh yeah, forgot about that. Tennessee is 8th in special teams with a 90.1 grade.

Dee Williams has a 82.5 punt return grade, 64.2 for kick off returns.

Charles Campbell 77.2 field goal kicking grade.

Jackson Ross 70.4 punting grade.

Josh Turbyville 76.9 kickoff grade.

Very cool. How does Alabama's team grade and Offensive/Defense grade compares to ours?

Interesting that Telander is our highest graded lb yet Carter gets most of the freshman fan love. Keep seeing Telander getting a lot more PT lately so the coaches must like what he’s doing. Bodes well for the future!
They’re a dynamic duo. One may end up being as good as the other.

How do they have Aaron Beasley so low? Makes no sense to me
Because they grade every play. We fans would seldom notice if he wasn't in on a tackle because he took a bad angle, hesitated on a read, or got caught up in a block.

We only notice when they call his number--which 9 times out of 10 will be for something good.

Who is/is not surprised by John Campbell, Jr.'s PFF ratings?

(Asking for all of us who confidently recite "SEC games are won in the trenches" ...but still end up watching the skill positions.)
