On all the deep passes there seemed to be pressure in his face or a lookout block off the edge. Check this out. I have never in my life seen PFF grades this bad:

Starting RG gets an 8.0 for pass blocking?! LT a 33.4!!! ... In our QBs face and blindside all night. There's your ballgame.

How about the D LINE? Not much better. Our 2 best defensive players Big O and Young got whooped. Easily their worst games this year.

Looking at the WRs McCoy and Hyatt both graded below average for their position.

Hooker was definitely not great, but IMO 21 pressures, 8 sacks, and WRs not getting open will do that to you.

We were star stuck, played anxious and pensive. We cannot play toe to toe against a team with that roster. We have to scheme to beat them. We did against bama ( similar talent); we stopped playing our game against GA both offensively and defensively.

As stated back in the summer, the only things that can stop this offense are poor execution (which includes penalties--especially due to crowd noise) and facing superior players at each position. Athens faced us with both.

Hardly any team wins their first game against an "obstacle team," just as Georgia did not against Alabama two years ago.

Our players will learn from it. They've been there now.
We're not a flash in the pan.
Keep building; keep recruiting.

I could do it right here too. Darnell Wright gets at 31.7 for Pass Blocking

Unlike you they took the time to watch him every snap and then assign that grade.

I’ll never understand people hating on pff. It’s a great resource

Dude face it we were dominated. Easy to see without the orange glasses.
I don’t think anyone is saying we weren’t dominated. There’s a difference between getting beaten and getting beaten by fifty points. People saying Georgia could have scored fifty if they wanted to are idiots pure and simple. Georgia wanted to score as much as possible while still staying within their game plan.

I don't really care for them but hell, they do it for every player, every position....using the same metrics....it's relevent across the board since the metrics apply to all.
